First Assistant to orthopedic spine surgeons during procedures for a
wide variety of surgical spine cases. Performs complex surgical techniques
as needed and directed by physician. Provides post operative care
to patients on an as necessary basis i.e., evaluates patient’s physical
condition to ensure no secondary complications have occurred due to surgery,
removes sutures and/or staples, and aspirates wound fluids. Dictates
discharge summaries for patient’s medical record and for billing purposes,
including final diagnosis, operations and/or procedures performed, complications,
discharge instructions and a narrative summary of patient’s stay as well
as pertinent laboratory and pathology findings, in accordance with established
policies and protocols.
See patients in a clinic setting, perform routine medical assessments
and treatments, perform pre-operative hospital surgery admission histories
and physicals for surgical patients. Forms patient assessment and
develops preliminary patient care plan. Make hospital rounds with
physician and/or independently to monitor patient’s current condition,
assess changes in patient’s condition, adjust patient’s care plan accordingly,
write new orders and documents all of the above in the medical records.
Performs all activities in accordance with established polices and protocols.

Women Health Center consisting of two OBGYN Physicians, Midwife RN and

The new PA/NP will handle a high volume of both acute and routine OBGYN
cases. The new PA/NP’s responsibilities will include most phases
of gynecological services, family planning, prenatal care and counseling,

SURGICAL PA
This position involves surgical assisting for all surgical specialties
(orthopaedics, general and vascular surgery, oncology, gastroenterology,
neurosurgical, plastics etc.). Approximately 50% of the surgical
assisting will be focused in orthopaedics with emphasis on total joints
cases. The Hospital has a Total Joint Center of Excellence.
In addition to surgical assisting, the PA will have the responsibility
for pre and post-operative H&P’s, rounds and patient evaluation and
education. Call is 1/5 weekends and is paid! This is a hospital
employed position with a 40 hour work week. Successful candidate
is self-motivated, a hard worker, confident and enjoys working in a fast-paced
environment. The group will train an entry level PA if they have
completed surgical rotations and have prior work experience in the medical
field.

member of the Neuro-oncology team, the candidate will have the opportunity
to work with highly experienced neurologists, in an outpatient and inpatient
setting. Responsibilities will include: provide support to neuro-oncologists
(medical and neurosurgical) during outpatient visits; collaborate with
