full-time Physician Assistant to the team. The new PA will work directly
with a Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon. Previous orthopaedic
experience is preferred, but will train a new PA with a strong interest
in orthopaedics! The position is a combination of the OR and the
Clinic. Call is 1/8. Recent graduates must have completed an
orthopaedic rotation.

Director of the Surgical Physician Assistant Program at the University
of Alabama at Birmingham. This is a twenty seven month, Masters of Science
in PA Studies Program that is affiliated with the University of Alabama
at Birmingham. UAB in nationally renowned research university that contains
an academic medical center and numerous opportunities for clinical work
and scholarly activity. The position entails responsiblity for the overall
operation of the program, including curriculum, faculty, students, budget
, and accreditation.
Qualifications for the position include a Doctorate Degree in a related
field (Masters Degree with significant research background and clinical
experience will be considered), PA certification, eligibility for licensure
in the state of Alabama, and a minimum of three years of academic experience.

Description This is a full-time faculty position
in the Physician Assistant Program in the Department of Medicine, College
of Medicine at the University of Florida. The position requires a graduate
degree and is a non-tenured accruing position with state salary and benefits
commensurate with background and experience. Faculty title will be negotiated
to reflect specific program assignments. Responsibilities include classroom
teaching in a graduate level educational program for physician assistant
students, student advising and evaluation, educational administration,
service on appropriate committees, and clinical practice as assigned, which
requires eligibility for Florida licensure as a physician assistant. Preference
will be given to physician assistants with experience in Internal Medicine
and/or comprehensive Family Medicine. Teaching experience in a physician
assistant educational program is desirable but not required. Organizational
and teaching skills and the ability to be an effective mentor to students
and to work collaboratively with faculty are essential. The University

Compensation This is a non-tenured accruing position
